BSN Application Phases

The BSN Application is open from Sept. 15-January 15.

There are two phases and they are described in more detail on this page.

Priority Application for Fall 2025 Admission Closes December 15, 2024

This application is for students who want priority when applying to our program and who meet the Priority requirements. Meeting requirements means the following:

• Applicant has already taken both TEAS score attempts by the December priority phase deadline or is satisfied submitting the first attempted scores. Applicants must earn a minimum overall TEAS score of 80% Advanced to be considered for priority admission.
  • TEAS test date ranges for Fall 2025 Priority Admission: March 2, 2024-December 15, 2024.
  • Only the first two attempts during this date range will be accepted and both attempts (if taken twice) must be uploaded to your NURSING CAS application as instructed.

  If the applicant attempts to submit an application during the Priority Phase and DOES NOT meet the requirements listed above, the application will be automatically defaulted to the General Phase for review. No exceptions! In addition, applications missing Fall 2024 transcripts or prerequisites not in progress during Spring 2025 will also be defaulted to the General Phase.

  Upon review of the priority applications, selected applicants will receive an interview invitation for Spring 2025 at the Texas State University Round Rock campus. Interview dates will be posted to our website as soon as they are established.

  • If the applicant attempts to submit an application during the Priority Application Phase and DOES NOT meet the requirements listed above, the applicant WILL BE automatically defaulted to the General Application for Admission. In addition, applications missing Fall 2024 transcripts or prerequisites not in progress during Spring 2025 will also be defaulted to the General Phase.
  • Upon review of the priority applications, selected students will received a mandatory Zoom interview invitation for Spring 2025 at the Texas State University Round Rock campus. Dates for priority applicant interviews are TBD at this time.

  General Application for Fall 2025 Admission Closes January 15, 2025

  This application is for students that need additional time to complete their application or for those that do not meet priority requirements. These final application details could include any of the following:

  • Applicant still needs time to do one or both final TEAS tests attempts. Applicants must earn an overall TEAS score of 65% Proficient to be considered for General admission.
    • TEAS test date ranges for Fall 2025 General Admission: March 2, 2024-January 15, 2025
    • Only the first two attempts during this date range will be accepted and both attempts (if taken twice) must be uploaded to your NURSING CAS application as instructed.

    Selected applicants in this phase will also receive a mandatory Zoom interview invitation for Spring 2025 at the Texas State University Round Rock campus. Dates for General applicant interviews are TBD at this time.
